Clinical KEY POINTS

  • Adjustment (trimming) of the cervical part of the matrix are done with fine point scissors.
  • Adaptation of the matrix with the preparation is done after adhesive procedures and pre-wedging.
  • Preheating resin composite before packing into matrix is highly recommended. You can use composite heating devices, or as the simplest method, you can leave the resin composite on the radiator for an average of 10-15 minutes prior to use in case.
  • After the composite is filled into the matrix, it is placed in the preparation with the matrix.
  • Depending on the consistency of the composite, the matrix is placed on the correct position by applying finger force.
  • After the contact with adjacent tooth and incisal edge are positioned correctly and the resin composite overflowing from the margins are removed by oral spatula, the composite is polymerized.
  • After photo-curing the restorative material, the SUPERIOR MATRIX can be removed with dental probe easily.
  • After the matrix is removed, the restoration is finished as usual.
