initial appearance

The diastema between the left maxillary lateral incisors and the left upper central teeth will be restored with direct resin composite using a Superior Matrix.

Adjusting superior matrix 

The Superior Matrix is adapted to the size of the restored tooth by adjusting it with fine scissors.

The resin composite is Placed with a SUPERIOR matrix.

After adhesive procedures, the resin composite (Tokuyama Estelite) is placed with the Superior Matrix. At this stage, the contact of the restoration with the adjacent tooth and the position of the cutting edge are adjusted, and then resin composite is photo-cured. 

Appearance of restoration immediately after removal of the SUperior matrix

After proper adjusting and positioning of the super matrix, primary and secondary morphology on both vestibule and palatinal surfaces of restoration are almost done after removal of matris.

Appearance of the final restoration

After finishing excess material on matrix margins with fine burs, and polishing restoration with polishing discs, restoration is done with predictable success.

 Thanks to perfect fit with palatinal surface of tooth of the Superior Matrix, achieving perfect marginal adaptation is effortless.
